Diagnostic tag ill-posed high confidence
A weak finite-Grassmannian interpretation is trivially true, whereas a faithful stable interpretation requires an unspecified compatible family and already encounters a concrete obstruction for the graph K2.
Caveat. The sign convention, ambient Grassmannian, stabilization, and meaning of subvariety are unspecified; the likely intended scheme-theoretic stable problem remains open.
Attack verdicts are unrefereed model self-reports. An ill-posed label is a diagnostic of the catalog statement supplied to the model, not a literature-review status or a peer-reviewed result.
Status open high confidence
No follow-up work addressing the Grassmannian subvariety construction problem has been found. Subsequent papers on the Kromatic symmetric function (2024–2025) focus on power-sum expansions and graph-distinguishing properties, leaving the geometric question — an explicit construction of Grassmannian subvarieties whose cohomology class is $X_G$ and K-theoretic structure sheaf class is $\overline{X}_G$ for each claw-free incomparability graph — entirely open.
Reviewer notes. Three follow-up papers were found on Kromatic symmetric functions (arXiv:2408.01395, 2502.21285, 2508.17682), but all address algebraic properties (power-sum expansions, graph distinguishing) rather than the geometric Grassmannian construction. The conjecture is stated informally as a geometric desideratum motivated by the $\overline{s}$-positivity result; no follow-up on the geometric side was found in the indexed literature.
Context
The authors lift Gasharov's theorem to K-theory by showing that the Kromatic symmetric function of a claw-free incomparability graph is $\overline{s}$-positive. The existence of both a cohomological and a K-theoretic representative suggests a geometric interpretation in terms of Grassmannian subvarieties.
Notes. Stated as 'there should be' and 'it would be very interesting'; no labelled theorem environment. PDF source — overline notation for $\overline{X}_G$ may be garbled in extraction.
